Millions 2004
Danny Boyle just does not spark joy for me ever. I don't know what it is. This seemed like it COULD be more up my alley because it was about kids... but actually it was about an angel child who never felt like an actual child in any way. It looked pretty most of the time but generally... just not for me.

Before the Fall 2004
I sometimes get really tired of WWII/Nazi movies. They are such easy uber villains that people sometimes forget that the majority of the Nazi "party" were just ordinary people. This is a movie that really embraces that premise, and I think ends up being much more impactful as a result. I really enjoyed it.

I realized while I was watching this that I had never watched a movie about a cult that was focused on a survivor with the British accent. It was just so weirdly chill sounding when she was describing these horrible things. That is neither here nor there, it just felt odd.
