Bethany’s review published on Letterboxd:
While there is nothing in particular about this story that is super original and indeed, a description of it could easily just sound like misery porn or a Lifetime movie -- two young boys abandoned by drug addicted mothers trying to get by with only each other -- this is a film that ultimately feels incredibly grounded in it's subject. It is a hard watch as a result. These children are incredible actors and the movie would be well-worth watching just for their performances. But beyond that I think it is worth watching for both the humanity and sometimes even humor that it brings to a situation that is well beyond the ken of many of us, certainly of me. This was an accidental discovery for me but such a pleasant surprise.
