1980s James McAvoy yes thank you

Although confused by the lack of explanation about both the Beatles thing in general AND the Russian guy and Catherine Cawood from Happy Valley, I did still very much enjoy this film for its humble and authentic feel, the satire on the rise to fame and the ethnic representation that it doesn't feel the need to shout about, especially. And of course, the songs themselves. Made me happy!
Although quite simple in plot, I think that's why I enjoyed this film. It was also good to watch a young Meryl Streep, who you can see was just starting to shine through here.
Irrelevant, but on a further positive note, a character in this gave me 70s (albeit late 70s) fashion inspiration and I ended up ordering clothes...
