Another misery fest from Sion Sono's mind adapted from the manga of the same name. It's an uber depressing story about two young teens who are victims of abuse and living in a post-tsunami wasteland. The performances are pretty good, especially the manic neighbor in love with the young boy.

Sono continues his exploration of the degradation of Japanese society through excessive violence and pessimism. Maybe it doesn't reach the same levels of craftsmanship as "Guilty of Romance" or "Love Exposure," but still, it's a good watch if you are in the mood.

"Serene Hunter" is a typical gay-themed short movie from the aughts. However, the dated looks, acting, and cliched-filled storyline works better as a testament to an era that is over.

This is a touching story about the impossible relationship between a Syrian refugee and a German dude, with great performances from both leads and a story that doesn't fall into the genre clichés.

'Label me' deals with real life topics like loneliness, anger, repressions and inner struggles between two lost men.

A good one, for a change.

I only saw this because Netflix titled it as 'The Haunting of Helena' and yes, like all the movies that has the word 'Haunting' in the title it's total crap. Don't waste your time on this, there's no such thing as a plot here, just a series of nonsensical 'scary' scenes. Avoid at all costs.
