adding a variety of concepts covered by other films debuting around this time "Gehenna" feels oddly satisfying.
Somewhere between the celebration of gore & the campy acting is something worth admiring.

I wonder how much more of this movie would make sense if I knew about the wars this movie references.

Not only does is successfully raise itself above most cliche LGBT films, this movie is a diamond in the rough (boring) genre.
Went in expecting the same coming of age story, but left with a very satisfied unsettled feeling.
