Pan's Labyrinth

Pan's Labyrinth ★★★★½

beautiful, evocative and terrifying in an unconventional way- i really don’t know how i lived without this film for so long. guillermo del toro is a genius in the way he used a child to project the obscenities of war, especially a child who is enchanted by magic and her imagination in a way that lots of people are when they are young. ofelia is relatable, real and worst of all she’s innocent which makes the experience of watching this film all the more immersive.
