The joker is what makes the dark knight so amazing. Although putting the joker character in a film doesn't automatically make it great (@ suicide squad), Heath’s joker really was something else. To me, other versions of the Joker were more trivial clown-like figures; they were amiable and psychopathic but were kinda comical to watch at times. What makes Heath’s joker so special is how he made the joker his own, he reinvented the character, every tick, the persistent bizarre accent, all his mannerisms. I remember watching the dark knight for the first time years ago and that was the first time I was so intensely captivated by a performance that I couldn't tell the actor was the actor.
