This is one of the most impressive films I've ever seen. Paul Thomas Anderson has solidified himself as one of, if not the best, director currently working in the film industry. Every performance was excellent. I think this is Joaquin Phoenix's best performance to date. I haven't seen Lincoln yet, but I guarantee Phoenix's performance rivaled that of Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln. The writing was also very impressive.
I am even more impressed on a technical level. The cinematography was spectacular. The framing was outstanding. The fucking focus...It's insanely good. I would go as far as saying it is flawless. The lighting was perfect. This is one of the most beautiful films I've seen simply because of the framing and shots. The score fit perfectly in each scene. The editing was great.
I honestly cannot think of any flaws within the film. This is an instant classic and should be viewed by all lovers of film.
