This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

There are a lot of reasons why I love this franchise as much as I do. It's old hat at this point to talk about the humble beginnings of the series compared to where it has gone. But it's important to recognize that --yes-- the ridiculous set pieces that continue to be topped with each iteration become even better in context to the first few films in the franchise.

When you watch Dom and Letty somehow attach their car to…

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

This is really less of a review of Tokyo Drift and more a short essay on the return to movie theaters.

Quickly, yes this movie is 5 stars. Tokyo Drift is a movie that should not have worked but just does. After 2 Fast 2 Furious, far and away the worst film in the franchise, there was not much interest from the normal cast to do another film. So instead, they made this thing.

    A movie starring a 30-year-old high…

I don’t really know what to say.

Are there moments that kinda fun? I mean I guess, sort of.

But I was really hoping this was going to be something silly and fun and it just doesn’t work. I had similar hopes for Ready or Not when that movie came out and that movie rips. This movie is just a damn bummer.

Not giving Nic Cage a single line is such a waste. Him dancing playing pinball was really the…

John Wick but during the height of the potato famine.

Main character does the dead eye look of someone dealing with the horrors of the time. He does some of the most badass shit I've seen in film. The pacing is a bit slow at times but a very fun little movie in a unique setting.

After watching this, maybe it's a good thing that movies are dead.

The story doesn't make sense and does nothing to help explain what is happening to the viewer.

The acting is just some of the worst I've ever seen from a movie with this high a profile. The main character phoned in literally every scene he did. He literally locks eyes with the camera at one point and says the words, "I am the protagonist." And you STILL don't…
