Halloween 2007
I didn't like it all that much but I think rob zombie was probably sitting there while making this movie actively hoping people like me weren't going to like it. there's some moments but overall it's just a little too stupid and not in the way I want it to be.
(also lol at rob zombie being credited as music director as if we couldn't guess. this is basically just like a slightly more niche horror version of the snydercut)

Angel's Egg 1985
really good art! couldn't believe it was over when it was over though. felt like the plot was a little too underbaked but I like what it's doing aesthetically. it's funny to see this kind of slower paced thing being translated to anime, it works for the most part but there's a couple moments where you're like "okay the animators went home early that day". good stuff though!
