Blaine McGaffigan’s review published on Letterboxd :
“The Little Hours” overlays modern comedic mayhem onto a beautiful and period piece. The characters speak like we do, but they inhabit a time far removed from our own. This absurdism puts you in a place to accept the over the top antics that make this film so great.
Director Jeff Baena obviously has a passion for this time period and he crafts a remarkable looking film thanks to the locations.
The acting is fantastic and delivered with pure joy. Each character is full of surprises and plays off each other so well. It looks like a blast to be on the set of this movie, and this delight is captured in the film.
