Time is our enemy. The camerawork here is like an observer thrust from the inner space of time itself with weaponized purpose. The fire extinguisher scene is pure splatter art and a comment on revenge as B-movie crap that doesn't solve anything, but only makes things worse. The rape scene makes us complicit in the act, we can't just escape like the random stranger that accidentally walks in on it happening and leaves. We have to cope with it. If your mind tunes it out, so be it. Though this entire descent into hell is a gut punch, the denouement is worth it all. A cathartic and beautiful reminder on the nature of cinema and the way it molds time to its own will. Time is our friend.
