Blain LaMotta’s review published on Letterboxd:
The greatest grieving process ever put to film. Boisterous, snazzy filmmaking that takes a simple story and embellishes it with kooky, pulp personality. The action is beautifully rendered and shot with an elegant fluidity that approaches pure poetry in motion. The emotional undercurrent is surprisingly effective and lays the groundwork for the visceral set-pieces without fuss. Keanu Reeves' turn as John Wick might just be his best acted to date. You can't resist the pop art style of John Wick. Like the resignation that comes at the sound of his name, the outcome is inevitable. BANG!
