I wish Synder knew how to write schlocky characters that you actually like, and that he knew he was allowed to make a movie less than 2 hours, because this is way too fucking long. Instead, Army of the Dead ended up being very hit and miss for me. I loved the gore, some of the kills were fantastic and unique, the intelligent zombie plot was so fucking stupid, but it's the best part of the movie, and the movie does look quite good. However, I actively disliked most of the characters, the comedy was atrocious, there were random robot zombies...just because apparently, and even the zombies unique to Vegas are hardly ever used. I was hoping to like this more, but Synder movies have always been hit and miss with me, and this one is no different. He knows how to film a movie, but it can be borderline unwatchable at times, and once again, no zombie movie should be this fucking long.
