Bud: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Wait a minute! You guys aren't one of those freaky cults are you? Y'know, who dance naked and you want us to take off our clothes and feed us special punch?
Bud: Damn! We were so close.
I think I prefer the original documentary Bio-Dome, but there’s a lot of interesting stuff going on here too i guess. I thought Spaceship Earth would be more about Biosphere 2 but it ended up being about the people behind it and that’s totally fine with me. I want to say a lot about this one, but I don’t want to spoil it. I wished they had gone a bit more into the cult aspects of the group behind this, because it sure did seem like a cult to me. It’s still really interesting despite the lack of some information.
The storytelling of Spaceship Earth is what makes it worth watching though. It seemed like every bit of information was refined to reinforce and flow into each other bits of information. The storytelling is a lot like the closed system of Biosphere 2, which was just impressive.
