Sorry to Bother You is one of the most insane movies I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t necessarily always stick the landing, but it’s always trying, and that definitely counts for something. Riley’s vision of the modern world is always intriguing, and the satire here hits hard and hits often. The soundtrack is jamming and helps adds to the film’s totally unique feel. Stanfield is the perfect vessel through this crazy world, where the evils of capitalism have never been more apparent, and paradoxically, never easier to ignore. The entire cast is great, but the movie truly belongs to Stanfield, through the many twists and turns this fable gives us. Sorry to Bother You is a crazy time at the movie theaters, a totally original film that has to be seen to be believed.
