  Melodrama is a horrible way to tell a story about the Holocaust. It feels manipulative, fake, and it doesn’t help me take any of it seriously. Those long shots of Asa Butterfield staring at the ash clouds above him as the overbearing score plays over him makes me want to throw up. The Disney Channel level acting doesn’t help at all.

  I have no idea why people gush over this as much as they do. Fuck this offensive garbage.
