One hell of a DYNAMITE directorial debut, goddamn. The clarity of vision on display is just impeccable: seductive, brutal, and bursting with style while being carried by three excellent central performances. Some of the most scrumptious work from Bill Pope I’ve seen as well.

A LOT of hyperbole has been thrown this movie's way over the past month, coveted words/phrases like "masterpiece" and "instant classic" or wistful sloganning like "this is why we go to the movies" are just a few snippetts of the insane praise for Everything Everywhere All at Once. Perhaps quite fittingly considering the main themes, it manages to trump the choo-choo of hype-train cynicism and knock me to the floor into a daze of hyperkinetic euphoria

Yes I watched it twice in one day, as I’m sure many other people will.
I love how it just dives face first into the fantastical with the Hollow Earth world building, really packs in some acid pill-esque visual splendor and intriguing details to the Monsterverse among everything else that looks amazing.
Skaarsgard is so goofy in this as well which I found entertaining since it boosted the splashy Saturday Morning Cartoon atmosphere. Everyone is just taking it seriously enough, to where it zooms past pretentious to earnest.
