Fuck. Clearly such a project that Nathan is very proud of and easy to understand why. It’s not a finale anyone who was a fan of the show was exactly expecting. Emotionally hard hitting while still keeping good doses of the humor and charm we grew to love. Something like this really makes you more cautious on not trying to have a life of regret.
It’s as if it takes a knife and stabs it into the heart of the whole saga and rips it out and proceeds to stomp on it with the might of every TLJ hater combined and then they proceed to take a fat shit on that heart, cook it, stomp on it and shit on it again and then take that shit-stomped heart cookie and yeets it into the most goddamn polluted water they can find.
More detailed thoughts on my dreaded rewatch tomorrow. I guess this is what we fucking get.
Politics. Race. Communism. Anarchy. Division.
This is just a few of the subject matters brought up in this extraordinary sequel. The performance from Zachary Gordon is something that Daniel Day Lewis could only dream of reaching. Devon Bostick also delivers an iconic performance as the Jesus of this universe. With plenty of social commentary, and twists and turns, this movie is sure to raise your stress levels to 100 and beyond.
