Black Mirror: Bandersnatch 2018
It’s hard to give this a rating, but that said, please give this a try.

Roma 2018
Incredibly well made and beautiful to look at. I definitely think the black and white benefited it, don’t really get the “would’ve been better in color” complaints at all. My complaints do lie around the first hour, but the whole final hour makes the (at times) frustratingly slow pace worth it. Also, fuck Fermin.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2018
Exactly what I wanted and more. A few small complaints about the lack of use of some of the other Spider-people, but aside from that, I loved it!! John Mulaney and Nic Cage steal the few scenes they’re in and Peter is great in this. Of course, I’m saving Miles for last because FUCK YES MILES WAS SO FUCKING GOOD! Can not wait to see where this universe goes. Yes, the Stan Lee cameo made me cry and yes, the animation is GORGEOUS. Please go check this one out.

Money Monster 2016
Fun fact: I auditioned for a part in this movie but didn’t get it
Anyway, not much to talk about here. The film is confused about what it wants to be and doesn’t really pull off any of what it tries to pull off well.

Thunder Road 2018
Absolutely one of 2018’s best, and Jim Cummings delivers one of my favorite performances of the year as well. A good take on grief and the tolls it can take on people.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi 2017
*Watched with audio commentary from Rian Johnson*
Hearing Rian talk about the whole experience of making this film makes me love it all the more. Best Star Wars movie in existence.

The Christmas Chronicles 2018
Look, it’s not very great, okay? But it’s sweet and has Kurt Russell as Santa doing some jail house rock, so you know I had to watch.
