  • Undone

Really disappointed I didn’t get around to this sooner. I’m a sucker for rotoscope animation and this was certainly my shit. Daveed Diggs would be the world’s best teacher.

  • Hamilton

Look, it’s not awful. The worst part of it, in my opinion, is by and far Lin-Manuel Miranda. Daveed Diggs shoulders were certainly hurting by the end of every show with the way he carried this. Also, my mom loved it, which honestly probably made it more enjoyable to me. I didn’t outright hate it and I am more than willing to get made fun of for that.

  • Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm

    Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm

Counting this for the show as a whole as well because I can and nobody can stop me. I’ll save giving this 5 stars until ends, although it may never end until the death of Larry himself, but just know that it is 5 stars. Best all around television comedy of all time, bar none. 10 seasons strong and even the most middling of episodes are still better than other shows’ mid episodes.

Season 10 was a little weird without the Funkman, his presence will be truly missed. Let’s hope this show lasts for a prettaaaaaayyyyy, pretttayyyyyyy, prettttayyyy long time.

  • The Haunting of Hill House

    The Haunting of Hill House

Works more as an emotional tale of family traumas than it does an outright horror, which is obviously what Mike was going for. So many shades of this in Doctor Sleep, proving definitively that this man has a distinctive style. Each episode masterfully crafts each character leading to them all having well paid off arcs (admittedly, I’m partial to Luke, but who’s really surprised). It was a great experience watching one of Jade’s favorite shows with her and getting to be sad with her and also talk about how we’d protect all of the kids. Mike certainly knows how to get the tears out of me.

  • Watchmen

    Watched with Jade. Te amo.

Having now finally gotten around to watching this, I can say that it certainly lived up to the hype. Incredible how well made this thing is, given that it’s a property that didn’t really need a sequel. I’d like to consider myself a very big fan of the source material of Watchmen as a whole, the OG graphic novel being one of my favorite pieces of literature ever, and the movie of the same name…

  • Middleditch & Schwartz

    Middleditch & Schwartz

Probably the best 2020 standup material so far. Really hope to see more of this in the future. The chemistry between Middleditch and Schwartz is impeccable.

  • Kuso

  • The Director and the Jedi

    The Director and the Jedi

Show me somebody more wholesome and pure and talented than Rian Johnson. That’s right, you can’t.

  • Miss Americana

    Miss Americana

I’m not a huge Taylor fan or anything but this was a very wholesome and enjoyable watch. Gives some real good insight on Taylor to the point where I don’t even think you HAVE to be a fan of her music to enjoy it.

Do you understand how happy the thought of David writing this makes me? Like. What a fucking man.
