  What a good fucking year for horror.

  I keep thinking about this movie. It’s like the most genuine homage to a late stage Mario Bava film like Lisa and the Devil or Shock. It’s beautifully shot, with vibrant colors. It’s a hypnotic character study. Mia Goth’s performance is amazing. There’s a 5 minute+ monologue she gives, uncut that is unmatched with anything any performer did this year.
