Could've been better. Maybe. Friedkin's Cruising is better. But Schrader's style and sensibility are fun to watch. The beginning is good. Takes its time. The ending is good. But some the acting throughout is pretty lame. But to be honest. That's why this movie is cool. It's part of that awesome time when American movies seem to have been very, very interesting and cool.

I Am Not Your Negro 2016
James Baldwin is awesome. This movie is decent. He's incredible. This movie is an average doc. James Baldwin is awesome on screen. He seems to have a lot of smart stuff to say. This doc is sort of standard. And doesn't really do much except offer maybe a quick introduction to the writer. Which is good enough. And articulates well what's going on today, tomorrow, yesterday. You name it.
