Bob’s review published on Letterboxd:
I found this one occasionally difficult to pay attention to and follow, though it also had the sporadic good moments, too.
The story is primarily about a love triangle.
There's a woman who is in a bad marriage. Her husband is cheating and ignoring her. She's depressed. She meets up with her old psychiatrist. She admits to him that she's stuck on a guy from a prior relationship (not her current husband). The psychiatrist hypnotizes her and then takes advantage of her, sexually. Once she starts spending more time with her therapist, her cheating husband decides he wants to be with her after all.
Anyway, the story is kind of silly, and the acting is at times very silly, but there were some good, dream-like moments that exhibited some good style. In ways, it reminded me of something like Red Shoe Diaries -- where things feel more dramatic and sensual, etc., though it had fewer/shorter sex scenes than you'd see there.
