  • Cats

When two people walk out of a small cinema screening that only had seven people in it to begin with then you know that can't be a good sign. Sat there, with three friends in tow, I was beyond bewildered when "Cats" started. Honestly I had no bloody clue was happening in this film for the following reasons:

    1) The CGI was UNFINISHED! Minus the fact that the CGI was indeed overall horrible and quite frankly, uncomfortable to see, who…

  • Anna and the Apocalypse

    Anna and the Apocalypse

Have you ever wondered what would happen if Troy Bolton was faced with the zombie armageddon? If so, then "Anna and the Apocalypse" is your answer. A film that combines the "High School Musical" franchise with "Shaun of the Dead", this comedy-musical-horror extravaganza is a very entertaining watch. With scenes that clearly reference both influential films, long gone are the days of disappointing "horror" films and in comes the weird yet highly enjoyable musical-horror hybrid that you didn't know you wanted. With catchy songs and classic British comedy, this was a great laugh.

The film is literally a work of art, triumphantly combining the artistic forms of music, choreography, photography and set design. Adapted from Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet", this is cleverly crafted with foreshadowing - I mean HELLOOOO…

  • Coco

Ahh yes, a film that tells a story about murder, loss, dementia and death...just your typical children's movie, right?

Covered from head-to-toe in vibrant violets and burnt orange tones, "Coco" is definitely a visual masterpiece, paying strict attention to detail. Dipping into the metaphysical, this film certainly packs in adventure yet is ultimately a very tender and moving tale about the importance of family connections and the complicated ways in which we love one another. Filled with brilliantly sweet music,…
