i managed to avoid every trailer for this thing. i didn't even really look all that closely at the poster. i just knew that it was a new horror movie from a24 with good buzz, and i wanted to see it.
i'm glad i put the effort into going in fresh, but i'm not sure anything in the marketing could have prepared me for what i just saw.
