They/themme fatale. On the spectrum. Filmmaker/illustrator.
I live for coffee, Kate Bush, and Arrow Video.
I don't get why people consider this one of the all-time worst Doctor Who stories. Paul Darrow is so extra in this, INCREDIBLE make-up design on the main villain (incredible in terms of the budget of the show), and the Doctor defeats him by roasting him so hard they go back in time. Quite fun and underrated.
Thank you Severin for giving this film a new burst of life, so people like me can discover it! This was so much fun. Natasha Lyonne naturally killing it (literally).
Cassandra Peterson makes for a perfect classic mother character you always see in 80's/90's films, and that Elvira poster gag was brilliant
Matt Reeves' direction. Michael Giacchino's score. The entire cast. The flawless balance of horror, tragedy, and heart. The most we've seen from each of these in a Batman film yet. Absolutely beautiful. This is the perfect Batman film.
As an autistic person who loves talking endlessly about special interests, I can heavily relate to Edgar making this film and wanting to share to the world his love and admiration for Sparks. He does not hold any of it back.
If you're new to Sparks, the 140-min runtime might get slightly tiresome if you just want to get to know the band on a more introductory stage.
But this is the celebration Ron & Russell Mael have long overdue deserved.
