still great. actually skipped over the cliff scene this time around though, because the gore is too disturbing (when my friend and i saw that part in theaters we were on the verge of gagging and my friend ended up covering her eyes for the rest of the scene, and neither of us are very sensitive when it comes to that stuff) ... but hated myself for skipping it bc it’s such a pivotal and well-made scene. In fact, I think one of the reasons it affected me enough to not want to watch it again is how well Ari Aster captured the feeling of trauma as it was happening. he does this tremendously throughout the rest of the film as well (but that + the gore makes that particular scene hard for me). Anyways, I cannot stress enough how excited I am to see what he does next.
