"The world will break your heart ten ways to Sunday. That's guaranteed. I can't begin to explain that. Or the craziness inside myself and everyone else. But guess what? Sunday's my favorite day again. I think of what everyone did for me, and I feel like a very lucky guy."

such a comfort movie for me. also, I HAVE to remember to watch this again at Christmastime. the last half hour makes this a valid Christmas movie

  • Scream

can't believe they actually PULLED OFF characters saying "this isn't a movie" without it being cringe

    also 1996 Skeet Ulrich... yeah

  • Disclosure

rewatched for gender studies class. this focuses a good bit on the intersectionality of race and gender identity, specifically when it comes to media portrayal. I would highly recommend watching this, ESPECIALLY if you watched Dave Chappelle's latest special and found nothing wrong with it.

    (500) Days of Summer

if I had been like 15 when this came out it would have dictated my entire aesthetic & personality and I would have been insufferable. thankfully I was nine. I'm still insufferable, but at least not in a quirky millennial IKEA sort of way. I do like the smiths though. today's my birthday so I'm doing some self-reflecting.

    No Time to Die

my first time watching a Bond film! I really liked it, despite thinking I wouldn't

would love it if every movie had intricate opening credit sequences set to Billie Eilish songs from now on.

    Dave Chappelle: The Closer

he spends the ENTIRE special saying homophobic and transphobic shit only to pull a "I'm not transphobic, I have a trans friend" at the end.

  • Prisoners

My subconscious reason for not watching this yet was that I thought the poster looked boring and I’M SORRY THIS WAS AMAZING

The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement

Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi at 21: preparing to rule a small country, having an enemies to lovers romance with Chris Pine, changing the sexist laws in her society

me at 21: believe it or not, doing none of those things (yet)

    The Sixth Sense

you know it’s a good film when you guess the twist halfway through, but you still feel what you’re supposed to when it’s revealed

that’s my subtle way of bragging that I guessed the twist 😎

this was a lot to digest
