I'm kinda disappointed in this one. While 8/10 isn't bad at all, with all the buzz surrounding this film it got my expectations a little too high. The acting is incredible, every second Daniel Kaluuya is on screen he demands your attention. And people aren't talking about Jesse Plemons as much as they should, shame on everyone. The cinematography was slick, and the score gave me chills. What didn't work fully for me though was the story and how it was told. It mainly focused on events, not characters and while that can work, for me it didn't work here. It felt kinda unfocused at times and was a little to focused on the bigger story rather than the smaller characters, if that makes sense. I will say though, when the scene happens near the end of the movie, it is subtlety brutal in how it's shown and it felt like a gut punch. I would reccomened this to everyone, just your lower expectations a little bit and you'll have a good time.
