To me, this is a story about second chances.
It’s amazing how a movie where seemingly nothing happens can still have such intricate storytelling and spark so many emotions (+ confusion). Didn’t feel bored for a second!
Another thing: not at all an expert in photography, but I have to say the cinematography in this low-budget indie movie was a real standout for me - they’ve captured so much beauty in simple shots…reminds me of a Wong Kar Wai film

Love that the film’s main love story revolves around ruby and her family - was initially worried it would turn into a glee/high school musical-esque drama type but thankfully the director dodged that fate and went with something more…mature?
