A Support cast including Xavier Dolan (always a joy to see, when in front of a camera), Troye Sivan, Cherry Jones & Flea gave some fantastic performances, no matter how small or minor.
The storyline's well-known, & was infuriating for me at times to watch & listen to - but this isn't about me, it's about the movie, so the Producers & Creators succeeded.
Joel Edgerton's direction shows he has a Director's Eye - & perhaps the only character who's script needed a little more fleshing out was his, as Victor Sykes.
But this was a so-so, & easily overlooked by the sheer class of the Leads & obvious belief of the entire cast in what they were creating.
By utilising the name & acting power of Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe & Lucas Hedges, Edgerton has adroitly thrust the vile part of this story into the spotlight.
And while the movie has its small flaws (the musical score & a few too many of those 'profound' speeches), this is irrelevant to all those kids 'out there' who simply need to know it exists.
