Bushman B’s review published on Letterboxd:
Holy shit where do I begin? David Lynch did it again; he got inside my mind, projected a false sense of truth, and he took it away from me. Mulholland Drive was a trip. I’ve been anticipating to see this film for quite some time and it was worth it. My favorite aspect of “Lynchian” craft is the feeling of surrealism, in which he has mastered. At this moment I cannot describe what I am feeling nor thinking. I imagine I have some understanding of what I just witnessed on screen, but even that may be a false sense of comprehension. David Lynch loves to play the dream aspect and I felt what our subconscious has the power of doing. Last time that I had this feeling was after watching Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and Twin Peaks: The Return.
What is reality and what is purely fantasy? Do we conjour our dreams or are dreams another reality? Those are some of the key questions to start understanding Mulholland Drive. I will definitely watch this again with anybody.
