    Bram Stoker's Dracula

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I understand why Van Helsing and Holmwood fell asleep in their own movie, I struggled to stay awake myself. A total snoozefest - slow paced and wooden acting. Who would have thought Jack Palance as Dracula would be boring? Sadly, the actor suppresses his amazing Palance-ness through most of the film. And why did Van Helsing and Holmwood stand idly by while Dracula recruited Mina - did Van Helsing forget he was holding a cross? Some interesting visuals (especially the final shot) but otherwise a disappointment.

The film is fast paced without feeling too choppy. The soundtrack is a delightful mix of vintage songs and original score. The after credits scene doesn't add a lot, but stick around for it anyway. Good show!
