    Crazy People

    ★★★★

Crazy People is an entertaining, well-acted film fueled by the hypocrisy of the advertising business - and big business in general - and reminds us that the real "crazy people" aren't the ones who question that system, but all of us who take part in it.

    Wolf

    ★★★★½

Jack Nicholson as a werewolf? Are you kidding me? Directed by Mike Nichols? Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Plummer, James Spader, Kate Nelligan, David Hyde Pierce? Music by Ennio Morricone? Sign me up. I enjoy Wolf more now than when it first came out. I haven't noticed any reviews mentioning Hammer Films, because Wolf absolutely seems like a Hammer movie updated for the modern urban age. It's played as a straight melodrama, without a wink or nudge in sight, and the it works because of the direction and the heavyweight cast. Ignore the naysayers, Wolf is rousing good entertainment.

Such an archaic practice in an otherwise advanced nation didn't make sense to me. It diminished an otherwise effective movie.

    Buster's Mal Heart

    ★★★½

The ending was too abstract for me, I needed a little more insight into what really happened. Otherwise, Buster's Mal Heart is an intriguing film that I find myself still thinking about after watching it. A compelling performance by Rami Malek and unique music choices add a lot to the journey. If you enjoy films that are well acted, look good, sound good, and have a contemporary message that isn't always spelled out for you, then Buster's Mal Heart will…
