This is one of the worst movies made of all time, in every facet. Yet, kids love it because it features main characters based on a "shark" and "lava" - so, +1/2 star for clever marketing built into the main characters names. Robert Rodriguez supposedly co-wrote this alongside his brother Marcel, but it becomes evident throughout that it was actually written by his son Racer. Come to think of it, I think he let all of his kids take complete control of every facet of making this film.
