BBC2 Horror Double Bills Part 1 (1975-1978)

Every summer from 1975 to 1983 (except 1982) BBC2 ran a season of horror double bills. It was where my lifelong love of horror movies was born. I never saw any of the first two seasons but the 1977 season was about to become the single most important event of my film watching life. I was seven years old.

Most of the seasons tended to be programmed with an older b&w feature followed by a then more modern colour one. During these early seasons I would usually only see the first film (and maybe the start of the second) as I would either fall asleep or be sent to bed during the second film.
