i think this just might be my masterpiece. 🎬
what was a really anticipated movie for me and for others by fincher, it turned to be the most dull, lifeless thriller action i've seen in a long time. the dialogue and the casting by others except for fassbender was utterly boring. as for positive aspects, the production, camera work was shining all the way through to the end.
p.s: i hate the smiths even more after watching this.
now the focus shifts onto another main character into the fold that is also highly significant into the whole story, from his early days of being drafted into the folklands war and his from rags to riches rise to criminal hall of fame into the late '80s and late '90s. the actor playing tony tucker is ideal as his charismatic yet crazy, on the edge demenaor showcases the rawness and wild period of drug dealing that ultimately is his own downfall.
eggers new film is a sudden change of style and theme from his previous works but keeping his trademark unsettling and nerving atmosphere and tone that shines through with stunning cinematography, a pretty simple yet magnificent story of quest for revenge with great acting from his cast.
