A Hidden Life 2019
"you can't change the world, the world is stronger."
decided to finish up a couple of movies that i haven't watched from malick, a hidden life is a more solid, emotional and more "conventional" movie from him. it has wonderful shots and composition i've seen from the last decade and it's touching story about a man who defies the nazi regime and power leading a silent and stubborn war that ends up tragically. hopeful to see more of the same from him. -
The Hateful Eight 2015
i don't get why this movie gets so unappreciated among the tarantino's filmography because it deserves so much more and i consider it to be one of his most quality films he made in his career. the acting crew and the claustrophobic, cold tone that turns into all out violent chaos among the characters was engaging and keeps you locked it until the very final scene.
p.s. samuel l. jackson was such a badass in this, he's literally me ๐
