Sometimes I like to watch bad movies because it's fun to suffer.
First I watch the original Halloween which means I must obviously visit the classic 2020 remake with superstar Adam Sandal in the leading role.
I love how Adam Sandler said he was going to make the worst movie ever if Uncut Gems didn't win anything. I think he forgot that he already made Grown Ups 2.
I love the dissection of this character. Watching this somewhat relatable man struggle with demons become unhinged and quickly become unrelatable. The contradictions, the hypocorisms, is probably one of my favorite parts of this film. The way Travis describes the city and the "scum" is just how others may describe him. His projection of his own loneliness and unhappiness on to other is fascinating.
This is a smart film through and through, emotionally intelligent and more rewarding with every watch in my opinion.
Also, what a movie to watch on voting day lmfao. I literally forgot today was that day.

That you looked out of
In your house
The house where your sister lived
The window in her room
That looked out on the town
And where your sister lived

In the same room that the window was that you looked out of
Now say that like 40 more times in various different orders aaaand there ya go, there's the movie.
I don't have much to say on this one. It's a cute and charming lil murder mystery flick with Vincent Price and Agnes Moorehead doing their thangs. I was actually pretty absorbed into the mystique of Titular bat, he's got a simple costume but it's more than effective.
Vincent Price going "Put em up bat" with a little smirk on his face is a whole vibe tbh
She looks so dead in the eyes half the movie and almost everything in frame is there to make us the viewers uncomfortable. She seems very sweet and innocent when interacting with others but you realize how deeply hurt she is.
There's a shot of her in the corner of the screen gardening with someone behind her watching her and someone to the far left also watching her. It was so claustrophobic but with beautiful scenery it was conflicting.
I love the Tim Burton Film about Mr. Edward D Wood so I decided I had to do myself a favor and check out the dudes magnum opus. I watched the colorized version which was a treat. This movie is terrible from every technical standpoint possible.
The direction is bad, the editing is bad, the day and night differences were bad and confusing, the soundtrack was kinda fresh tho. The acting is wooden yet I enjoyed seeing Vampira, who seemed…
