    Crazy Rich Asians

I really enjoyed Crazy Rich Asians but I really don’t think it deserves such widespread acclaim - besides the representation angle of an Asian cast and story which I’m totally up for seeing more of on the big screen. The film starts off unique with some interesting transitions (that text sequence completely piqued my interests) and fast-paced introduction to the characters but then the 2nd act just becomes underwhelming, feeling repetitive very quickly as Rachel meets Nick’s family. King of Thieves

King of Thieves really brings nothing special to the genre, there are moments where the film is told with an artistisic flare making the film interesting combining older heist films (or even ones containing the actors themselves towards the end) but those moments are few and far between and rarely make up for the film’s plodding runtime and shoddy pacing. Like all previous instalments, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom forgets what is so special about the series of films (Mr DNA obviously) and instead resorts to the generic good people trying to stop bad people from doing something nefarious to the dinosaurs plot. Even with the story being ridiculously predictable, there’s a twist to a character towards the end of the film that’s so painful as it completely destroys the glimmer of science that the franchise had.

    It’s clear that the…
