Brendan Michaels’s review published on Letterboxd:
The faces in Malick's films are the key to feeling the empathy of them. Christian Bale wandering around a Neon party, dancing, partying, and having a good time. Malick closes in on his face, and only sorrow is shown. He might try to fill his life with happiness, but he isn't happy. He's still wandering, searching.
