Brendonyu668’s review published on Letterboxd:
Who you gonna call this film a classic?
The direction is good, the screenplay is fine. The EPA interruption scenes are really good (worthy of 5 out of 5), but the rest of the film is not the best. There are some comedic moments, but I think it deserves more.
The acting is decent. Rick Moranis is extremely funny! The cinematography is appropriate and the editing serves well. The title song is iconic and extremely well made. The music brings a nice ghostly feeling.
Unfortunately, the visual effects has aged extremely badly. The special effects look very unrealistic (could be good back then?). The production design matches well.
Not as good as I thought, but nevertheless highly recommended!
