Brett & JB’s review published on Letterboxd:
Felt the urge to watch this after thinking about the awesome milk carton moment earlier today. Everything about it is just cool, from the concept to the action to the one-liners to the freaking hair, man.
James Cameron really does push the technical boundaries of film with (almost) every movie he makes, and T2’s special effects are still pretty mind-blowing today.
For some reason, this time around it really bugged me that John Connor is only ten years old here. Come on. Ten years old?! I also found Sarah much more unlikeable, but her revelations about parenting and humanity feel much more prevalent than I’ve ever given credit.
I watched the “special” cut this time around, with minimal differences. I can always rely on Terminator 2 to be a good time, with scene after scene of infamous moments and set pieces and action’s most badass, warped family of three.
