I’m not happy. I don’t sleep, I don’t get out of bed, and I can’t really do anything productive anymore. I think I’ve really reached a new low when the ramblings of a lunatic is the most relatable thing I’ve seen in years. Scorsese’s exploration of the human psyche and “doomerism” has always been one of my personal favorite stories but this rewatch has really cemented it as one of greatest films I’ve ever seen.
