tackles how wrapped around we are with what we are shown in media, and how instead of taking the methodical decisions we really just turn to what we know. very fun but still a bag of impossible-movie-magic coincidences, decisions and plot devices.. but atleast with an underlying electrifying score.
there's such an influx of the doomer boy in recent media, the character that leans on the wall in the shower, snaps and screams his lungs out for the oscar and had some abusive backstory; these things are all kinda present here but the attentive representation of how calum is ashamed, and how he looks so joyous in public when he has so much going on is so real, what a delicate and realized performance from spotlight-new-star paul mee-scal.
zack snyder sure likes blood
with slo-mo taking half it's runtime zack snyder's justice league is a half baked masterpiece filled with zack snyder's favorite coffee and facetime for the new gods of dc. it doesn't really matter if the content/material is different and drastically altered for 2017's draft what matters if it was worth it: the signs, the petition, the endless toxic fandom... and was it worth it?
i personally really don't know but i'm happy zack got to show his ambitious and boasting og version of the film
while the rushing adrenaline and fun are emotions i felt during the movie's champion first act, my passion had left my grasp in a split second like water through sand (pun intended), and i can't stop constantly glaring at the overwhelmingly gigantic tons of waste this film holds: it's misuses of melodrama with really no purpose but to lazily respond at criticism that's thrown at this rendition of peter parker; the nonstop torture-esque quips towards a name, started bleeding out…
