🎟 Brice Watts 🎟’s review published on Letterboxd:
Stellar piece of filmmaking. Poignant and heart breaking, while still having glimmers of hope. Jenkin’s crafts a deeply moving work from Baldwin’s book while still creating visually lush frames that feed into emtional threads that run through the film.
Jenkins really knows how to elicits fantatic performances from his cast. The supporting crew here are great front to back. King seems to be the push for awards for, but honestly if they only are pushing one of the cast it should definitely be Brian Tyree Henry. Easily the best performance from the film and his scene is an emotional gut punch.
