I’ve never been a big Elvis fan, but my mom loved him because they shared a birthday. While I would have preferred to watch something other than another musician biopic, I did enjoy majority of the film. Austin Butler sure is an exhilarating performer. Tom Hanks on the other hand… interesting casting choice to say the least. Some of it worked for me, while some of it didn’t. True Romance will always be the best Elvis movie though!

Fucking finally sat myself down and watched this, and went in with high expectations. It’s not quite what I expected, which made me appreciate it even more. Renate Reinsve is a star, and so deserved that Cannes win.

    “Annie, why are you here?”
    “Because I’m your friend.”

This has to be the most creative series I’ve ever watched. It’s so weird and perplexing but, I loved everything from start to finish, especially the ending and its message.

This film is so genuine, honest, and raw. It’s such an accurate portrayal of what teenage girls go through today. Some scenes are laugh out loud hilarious, while others made me want to curl up in a ball and cry. But the best part about it is that an actual eighth grader played an eighth grader !!!
