3.5 stars. It was a pretty good military-ish movie. The five actors were great. The action was good. I don’t like the idea of the guys working outside of the law or doing the job for the money. I wish it had emphasized killing a bad dude more but I guess that wasn’t the point of the story, which is that our military deserves better than they get. The ending was so-so. I think if it had had a better ending, I would have bumped it up a star. Pet peeve: I have no clue why it’s called triple frontier.

Heard this was a John Wick-like over-the-top revenge movie. Had a slow start then, when Denzel finally kicks into action, he has a Sherlock Holmes moment, looking at everything and calculating how it will go down. The fight was just gross. And his motivation was shaky. Bad guys were Russians and ridiculous. It was so slow and bad we quit before the halfway point.

It was as good as people say it is, and that's almost entirely do to the actor, J. K. Simmons. He really was phenomenal. Smiling and friendly-looking one second to cursing and chair-throwing the next. It…

It took me a long time to agree to watch this film, even though I heard great things about it and I typically like war movies. But I like FICTIONAL war movies, and this one was based on a true story, a true story that I listened to about a year ago on audiobook. I've watched videos of Marcus Luttrell talking about this and about being a SEAL, and I follow his Facebook Page. I know the story, and it's…
