Brian Sweeney’s review published on Letterboxd:
"La vie en rose" gets me every time. Any version, any singer, any language. Every. Damn. Time.
So yeah, this was weirdly one of my few Pixar blindspots, and pretty much my only blindspot of the "major" ones besides Brave (my only other unseen are The Good Dinosaur, Monsters University and the Cars sequels).
It totally lived up to the hype. Gorgeously animated, deeply moving and thought-provoking, and just fucking adorable. The entire film was great, but man that first 35 minutes is really something else. This is unquestionably top tier Pixar.
