RESPIRE has the power to haunt you and the power to make you feel everything the characters are feeling: the obsession, the insecurity, the humiliation. It's almost all too real.
Mélanie Laurent directed the fuck out of this film. I felt it creep under my skin, and I don't think I took a breath during those last thirty seconds. Magnificent madness at its best.
This film made me so fiercely happy. Star Wars hasn't just returned, it has been rejuvenated, expanded and glorified. It held it's own and managed to reminisce and bring back things I love about the original, and that felt so special.
