“tick, tick… Boom!” is a dazzling directorial debut with a more than stellar performance by Andrew Garfield and great supporting turns. A universally relatable and emotionally touching film, that ends up being a must watch.

“Ghostbusters Afterlife” is a mostly entertaining 80’s throwback. Jason Reitman’s vision is clearly visible and he definitely was the right choice to bring this franchise back. Mckenna Grace is a star! Logan Kim steals the show. It’s the sequel/reboot the franchise deserves!

The iconic twist is of course something I encountered before, so I didn’t have the surprise, but even without it, it’s a good crime thriller.

Our two leads have great chemistry, I like Webb’s vision for the film and I see why it is so beloved, but it didn’t really do much for me. Love the song during the credits though.

My opinion on this really doesn’t matter and I hope a lot of people will like this movie. My biggest problem with it is, that our main character is literally the most boring one. There are many side characters that should have been the lead. It has an important message, but there sadly isn’t a great narrative around it.

I quite liked it. The cast is great, there’s some great cinematography, the score is fitting. The biggest problem the series has is, that it would have needed more episodes, to fully flesh out the character development and the plot. There are so many elements that the series hasn’t shown, because their was no time. Even really important things just get told with explanation talk, which feels very lazy. I still like how everything turned out in the end, but…
